(March 2016) During the journey of Lent our school got together for three consecutive days for a series of Lenten talks delivered by the Fr Glen Buhagiar, Parish Priest of Qrendi. The talks were good opportunities for the students to remember the core truths of the Christian life such as forgiveness, friendship and faithfulness. It was also a time to reflect on the many graces of God that are poured on us during the season of Lent.

On Wednesday, 13th of January, a visit was arranged with renowned author Trevor Zahra to come and conduct a reading session with our year 3 students. This took place upstairs, in our main hall and parents were invited as well. Students were briefed about this session beforehand, and the teachers also managed to explain to their students, facts about the author as well as some of the books he has written along the years.
During the session, Mr Trevor Zahra told the children about his love for books and how this came about. He also read several poems from different books written by him, and made both young and adults laugh as well. He also managed to discuss some important issues regarding books and reading with the parents who were present for the session.
At the end of the session, the children had the opportunity to buy books written by Mr Zahra and have them signed by him as well! I am sure that this will be a session which will be remembered by those present for a long time. Thank you Mr Zahra for sharing your love of books with us!

Year 6 students working with Lego WeDo kits and software in order to construct a working robotic model during ICT sessions. During this actvity students co-operated as a team to build the robotic model by following instructions carefully. They later used their creativity and problem solving skills to make the alligator robot open its 'jaw' and close it when it 'senses' something between its 'jaws'. Here students were introduced to the concept of different kinds of sensors and other elements which help a robot work.
